Nazneen Rahman

I was really interested in meeting Nazneen Rahman to talk about science and art as I found she was a singer and highly regarded scientist and researcher in molecular genetics.

I've always found the two fields intrinsically linked and would I be able to live life again I would like to be a scientist, as I think a true pioneer in creative thinking belongs the sciences of today.

In fact, I think art is in essence, futurism, similar to science trying to reflect and think differently to shape a future civilization. I tried to express this, but ended up talking about cakes.

Although I got some great pictures of Nazneen, or Naz, I found her perhaps too easy to photograph, as sometimes I find that more someone knows their own image they can shape the ongoing moment rather than letting the photographer discover it, and like the future, it's all dependent on time.

I found Nazneen Rahman to be a remarkable, bright light of a person.
